VBC Rocks!!!

Light of the Canyon has experienced a great transformation from a humble house of worship into a local fishing hole, with lots and lots of children running around, having fun, and learning about God. Over 60 kids are enrolled in Vacation Bible Camp this year, which is incredible. The theme is “Gone Fishin’.” Jesus said, follow me, and I will make you fish for people.” Today, Miss Minnie started things off with a really cool mural that she painted right before our eyes. She went through the days of creation. The mural started off with just the sea. She then painted land, creatures of the land, creatures of the sea, and human beings. The kids then participated in different learning centers where they learned about properties of water, they made a rain stick, and did some water play. Finally, everyone came back together for singing and a brief closing message. It was an awesome day. During the next week, the kids will learn about God’s love using some of the “fishing stories” from the bible. This promises to be a wonderful time for all children.
